VOLUME 1 - THE BASICS
Our motto at Palladini Power Skating School is "QUALITY INSTRUCTION".
Our success and this video were made possible for many reasons. Great students, dedicated parents,
hard work, and a love of the sport. Our main goal was to create a video for the minor hockey player, coach,
or any parent wanting to help their child learn the basic fundamentals of skating. Lastly, we'd like to
mention that we have put many hours of hard work into the planning of this video in order to provide you
with the same quality on which our school was built. We hope that our dedication to the sport and to education
shines through.
With this Video you will learn many of the fundamentals of hockey skating by listening and watching our
technique's and drills. The keys to becoming a great skater are being a great listener and putting in a
lot of effort and hard work. By watching our technique's and drills at your own pace, we believe that you
will be able to improve your skating ability both technically and within game situations. Although this
video only touches on the basics, it is the most important step in building a solid foundation for a
strong and powerful skater.
Practice often means lots of repetition and for young players this is what is lacking. With this video,
you will be able to view the drills we have outlined along with key instructional points. You have the
ability with this video, to replay and watch the elements in slow motion. This will allow the player to
focus almost as if in a private class.
This Video is a way for you to keep your skills fresh by using visualization and slowing down the viewing
process so that you are more able to understand the techniques. By implementing these techniques in your
practices and actually trying them out on the ice, we are sure that you and your child will notice the
improvement immediately.
